calgary.. ab..  10.15 on a saturday morning.. project : Corbae : red book delemma

sadly I'm at a place I'm unsure were to proceed from.. I'm staring at a track list I feel accomplishes much of what I wanted to do this year.. I'm staring at a date, that as a personal goal, is late season.. if I cut the cord today, I have finished something, on time and as planned, but if I continue on I have eighteen days to finish what appears to be another nineteen tracks... I'm at sixty:eighteen, my goal of seventy.eight:zero.zero is nigh.

Some math tells me I have a track a day (plus one) a head of me.. and I only have seventeen minutes and to distribute all that across it.. its taken me seven months to accomplish twenty three tracks.. a rate of three.point.three tracks a month... I've compiled enough material however to do all of this, with some minor work in between...

do I accept that my goal was unrealistic.. eight months to finish an album.. meaning failure.

do I accept that -- yes, I've completed a disc -- but the piece itself was unfinished.. I sit at disc one and will have to make two discs.. can I cut a disc sixty minutes against the max rb.standard of seventy.four ?  my personal costs increase and I cannot sandwich all my work onto one disc if I do this...

do I accept that it will take me (in theory) another five months (based at three tracks a month) to finish Eviscertate and carry onwards

do I accept that my seventy.eight minutes was not planned out fully (also meaning my original plan was incorrect at seventy.four standard)
and seventeen mins is not enough time to fill out the tracks I want to create, and I should settle for a ninety.some min complilation?

do I accept that my work is digital.. its format will always be digital.. and I should be looking at download & usb flash drive options instead?
meaning I'm at 80mb and have lots of space to work with
at zero resale charge for this album & production work, its all personal cost to me.
so the cost relevance is that production is $2, (valued at personal cost of $100 leaving over stock)
versus $8 per usb, no print materials ( but matched would cost $200)
addition to download values (server space, download access $120/yr)
do I oragami.box the print media?

Decisions are easier when the money isn't coming out of your own pocket..

Oh well .. accomlplished two more tracks today before this rant..
so I will leave this decision till tomorrow.
regardless I will carry on until I'm sure what it all means

Some updates from lyinghere

project : The Syndrome Papers
I'm finishing up work on The Syndrome Papers. Two routes, find publisher or self publish. I can break even self publishing, but the marketing would be killer with my day job still so important.

project : The Syndrome Transmissions
Transmissions will be waiting till 2009, although I've done some rough work, the bulk will not be done until I have new equipment and set up, and added creative work from Norwood. I will likely plot two or three days to record the whole thing. so I'm building the script for it all at this time.

project : X.days
Starting work on X.days and will likely take about three years to complete. Combination of distopian writing, new interpritation of government, lethargic culture, genetics, and technology. Again its intended to be a graphic novel series based on the spiritual direction of humanity and monsters we create within ourselves and society.

project : Corbae
album : Eviscerate
Eviscerate is almost complete, have about 30 mins of track time to complete but I've plotted everything out, so its just a matter of sitting down and making music. Corbae is my score recording Project. Making some solid progress and should have this album out for you soon.
album : Mythos
my second album will be a series of side stories in the setting from X.days, working title Mythos Crawling from the Ceiling.

project : Cadmic
album : In skiN
Norwood & My work on Cadmic continues into 2009, and should see some progress and the planned first album complete. most of its written, we just need to preform and record it all and thats the hard part I suppose.
